I always liked to roam around in the wilderness near my house from a very young age, bringing a 'National Geographic' with me. Sitting in the forest overlooking a lake, I'd scan through the magazine, immersing myself into images from around the world. Since I didn't get my first camera (Minolta Freedom Zoom 115) until after college, I grew up with a love of not even taking pictures, but just holding a friend or family member's camera and observing everything through it. I think it was just my inner mind emulating all of the great photographers of the magazine. From the moment I got my first 'real' camera and started taking lots of shots during a backpacking trip to Ireland, I became hooked on always wanting to be ready and capture great images and share them with others.
